Hello everybody, this is a first
for me, but I couldn't wait any longer. I have a new band called
"Angels and Airwaves" and it is the most amazing music
I have ever made by a long shot. You all must know, I didn't want
Blink to go on hiatus, but it had to....you all will learn why...soon,
but I swear to god, I am two songs from finishing the best fucking
album anybody has heard in 20 years.
In the next couple of weeks, you will all hear about the new band
as well as the movie that is being made to tell the story of the
album. But no matter what is said, or talked about, no matter
what rumors are started, this is the best music made in decades....It
is so much more powerful, emotional and melodic than Box Car and
Blink put together, that I am currently shitting my pants, and
your pants as well....until you hear more, all I can say is hold
on, and prepare- Tom

For the past 6 months, Tom DeLonge
has been in the studio preparing the greatest rock-n-roll revolution
for this generation.

Hello children... First I want
to say thanks for your interest in all the new projects, I know
it's a lot to soak in... but I think you guys are going to have
a lot of fun this coming year with all this stuff. Don't pay attention
to most articles coming out, as the magazines are trying to create
a negative vibe between me and the other guys... it's not true.
But, I must say, I have been lifting weights, doing squats and
such... feelin' good... The studio has been amazing lately. Really
cool shit, it's different, but the best I have done. I hope you
like it. By the way, when I say I'm the "second coming of Christ",
just remember, I also said the last Blink record was going
to create world peace, I guess jokes don't print well...
well here is one that does:
"Doctor, I'm having that dream again," the patient said.
"Oh?" The shrink replies, "Which one?"
"The one where I'm into sadism, necrophilia and bestiality. Should
I be worried or am I beating a dead horse?"
That was pathetic-
Oh yeah, this very second I am writing a song about picking your
best friend up when he/she is at the worst in their life... this
song will give you those fancy little goose bumps-
Good morning... it's a sunny San
Diego morning, and I shall be writing the lyrics to my last song
today. Although it will be a little bit until the album comes
out, we will very soon let you little perverts hear some of it.
David, Atom and Ryan are doing good, they are the funniest fuckers...
I have known these dudes for a while and David for about 13-14
years, and you all will be talking to them soon. As soon as I
let them out of the closet... Oh shit, if you guys only knew what
this music sounds like... you are going to love it... unless you
have bad taste, and if so may God place the herpes upon you. To
let you know what I am planning... well, I am putting together
the best live show, the best music and the best movie all at once...
it shall be the most amazing thing ever to happen to music, or
the worst... kind of like your breath.
"This has been a crazy few weeks....we
have started our last song, and we had this little rule about
9 months ago, which said every new song we did had to be better
than the last....well, there was no way I thought that really
was possible...but it has happened.
This last song has given me the chills every time I hear it. Ryan
just finished some bass tracks, in-between episodes of Ali-G,
and me and David have been taking long walks on the beach at sunset
with our shirts off. There is also quite a little treat coming
to you on my birthday....I promise that you will love it. We have
spent quite a lot of time planning how to make a new era of rock
and roll, and this film and album I think are going to help with
that. Imagine a record with 6-7 minute long songs, full of anthemic,
melody and long intro's, but it sounds totally different....like
the next step you would expect. A couple song titles.....The Adventure......Valkyrie
Missile....It Hurts.....
I am building the web site right now, it will have clips of the
film, song excerpts, photos, merchandise, video stills and clips
as well. It will be here with in 30 days or so.

Maybe you children would be interested
in knowing that I am working on posters and t-shirts designed
by one of the lead artists of Star Wars..... maybe you would like
to know that you will be able to have these limited pieces by
joining an official section of the Angels and Airwaves site that
will feature extra songs, photos, merchandise etc... Maybe I am
not wearing any pants right now and maybe, just maybe someone
will give you kisses for Halloween.
By the way dont go see that movie
Wallace and Grommit, there are no sex scenes at all...... I had
pizza for dinner and it made me ill..... oh yeah, the site will
launch on my birthday, and if you join the fanclub on it, you
will hear music, see clips of the movie and be able to buy limited
addition merchandise... We will also stream concerts on it, and
you will have access to the band members directly... grab yourself
a photo of a beautiful sunset, put the "AVA" logo on it, and prepare
for something magical---
I took a few days off to get a
breath.....
.i am in Santa Barbara enjoying the silence......
David went to Palm Springs, Atom moved into a new house and Ryan
went to a few concerts.....
we have been getting everything ready for a December 13th launch.....
a song on itunes, angelsandairwaves.com with a mechandise store,
and a trailer for the movie that will download with the song for
your new ipod....
i am making a part of our website to have limited edition mechandise,
extra songs, preview of the record, streaming concerts, free music,
exlusive t-shirts...etc....
it will cost a yearly subscription of about 20 bucks, but you
will get a free t-shirt and a poster designed by the artist from
Star Wars.....unless you are a pussy and too scared to join the
future....
I am so excited for you and for us....
i felt a little down this past year...my addiction to music left,
with all the changes in my life I was quite lost for a few monthes.
But something I learned was to connect the dots as to how you
ended up where you are, and the one thing that hasn't happened
yet is the future.....I layed there one night and imagined the
most brilliant day, all that was left.... was for me to make it......the
best way for me to share that with you is for you to get lost
as well....but in my head, and in our music.....if you can imagine
golden sunsets, with spinning planets, and a shower of stars,
that is our movie....if you can feel excited, strong and heroic....that
is the music......what you do with it is up to you........
Angels and Airwaves
CRUSH...there's the strangest excitement
today...if you're awake then you're welcome to hear...i got a
gift and it blew me away...from the far eastern sea, straight
to here...oh god, i feel like I'm in for it now...It's like the
rush has gone straight to my brain...and my voice is lonely as
loud...as I whipser the joy of my pain...and now, I'll stop the
storm if it rains... I'll light up a path far from here...I'll
make your fear melt away...and the world that we know disappear....
so here is some news for you...
First of all, anybody claiming they heard demos are full of shit.
They are hearing old shitty recordings of blink, the music does
not sound like blink or box car, so the speculation should end
there.
Second, the song to be released on December 13 is finished, but
the label is too excited to release just a song, so at the last
minute it got changed.
Lets see, third, it isn't some depressing emo project, it is music
that is best described as... well, the best stuff I have ever
done... to vague?... well, I promise my fans will like this the
most out of everything I have been a part of, I promise it will
give you a feeling of liberation, excitement, goose bumps... and
to help you understand come to angelsandairwaves.com on December
13th... starting January 1st, the album will be finished, and
the world... it will begin to spin just a little bit faster.
hey whats up everyone, i know you
all are "patienly" awaiting some music. the website and more web
movies will be launched in the coming weeks so stay tuned. just
wanted to send you all a message letting you all know what is
going on in angels & airwaves' world. our rehersal space is
built and we are beginning to reherse. we'll have some photos
for you shortly. right now im off to New York and the other guys
are at home relaxing before angels & airwaves takes over their
lives, as if it hasnt already. while im in new york, ill be hosting
a few episodes of steven's untiled rock show on FUSE with some
macbeth sponsored bands: taking back sunday, my chemical romance,
and eisley. ive been told the air dates for those will be the
week of feb 6th, we'll be sure to let you know when, once we get

Hey everybody, I am honored and
humbled that my new band has gotten all this attention. Of course
I had not planned for it or my song to come out so quickly, but
it is so cool to finally see the electricity build in all your
lives....the version you are hearing is not the actual final version,
but a rough concept...I have been working restless nights on a
cool short film that was to debut the actual song The Adventure
within a few short days....it will be released within the next
2 weeks with the launch of our website.
I love that my fans are the coolest and smartest out there, just
as I thought you all understood my message...that if you are open
to have a meaningful life and if you are ready to do something
positive ...then I will give you the soundtrack, and together,
maybe we can change the world, if not just ourselves.
And there is no way anybody out there can even guess how much
of myself I put on this album... When I was in the 7th grade and
my dad got diagnosed with Leukemia it tore me and my family to
pieces... When my brother went to war in Iraq it made me so angry
that the world could be so lost...And when the band that I started
slowly started to melt away, it gave me the dreaded first hand
knowledge of what its like to lose two of your best friends...
please stay open minded as I try to give you more than an album,
and more than just a cool punk-rock tune, because I have already
done that. But this is something different. I have an idea, an
honest experiment to inspire you...just trust me, I wont let you
down....and maybe, just maybe this all might be as good as you
all hope and believe it to be..

Hello there everyone. its been
a while since ive said hello so i thought i would just say hello,
and for those of you who have been emailing about the adventure
video, we are so stoked that you like it (for the small amount
of you that werent into it, keep watching it, hopefully youll
like it over time) im sure its not what many of you expected but
try to think outside the box. our website is up and running now
and we are adding stuff to it by the day so be sure to check it
out. a lot more shows that we keep comfirming will be posted up
as soon as we can announce them so stay tuned.
back to angels world, yesterday we did a photo shoot for the album
and i cant wait to see how the photos turned out. im sure you
all will be seeing some photos as well as soon as we get them
back. other than that we continue to practice nightly and get
ready for our record to come out and get back on the road and
tour.
thanks for the support and the concern. your truely the best fans
in the world and i cant wait for you to be apart of this with
us.

emailing asking about that. as soon as we have a confirmed release

Hey guys-
Things are starting to go light speed here in Angels land.....
Rehearsals are happening every night to get ready for a few weeks
of special shows in Europe and in the states as well... I have
met with multiple magazines as well as Fuse and MTV, and they
all agree that the record is everything it is hyped up to be,
but more...which is good, so I can stop my big, over-excited mouth,
and I can let others do the talking. The short film is out, although
it seems to be over some peoples head, the vast majority of you
got it, and loved the story....the creation of perfect love with
perfect life, the making, and story of Angels and Airwaves. The
video for the adventure is going to be shot in the next couple
weeks, and oh my God, just wait and see ...I finally had some
friends and family come to see the band play, every body’s
arms were covered with chills, and I felt like I was on another
planet...I can not wait to let you guys in on this....this is
the beginning of a movement, not a band...not a scene, but a way
of life
