"I never wanted to do the naked thing"
- Mark in "What's My Age Again".
|
I
Miss You ...
|
|
Synopsis:
The concept of the video is the band playing in
an old, abandoned house in which ghosts appear
and dissapear. Although, one might seek a little
deeper and find homosexuality, fear, death, love,
pain. This video is unlike any other videos the
band has ever done.
Did you know? Mark painted his right-nails
in black for the video. All three band members
have been put make up in order to look like dead
"ghosts".

Feeling
This ...
|
|
Synopsis:
The Feeling this video is set in an old abandoned
prison. The prison is meant to represent a school
in which the schoolboys and girls are emprisoned
by a system which is too strict. Eventually they
will revolt and liberate themselves from this.
They have to reach the roof on which the band
is performing.
Did you know? The band managers organised
a huge casting. They invited all blink-182 fans
to show up at the filming location. Problem was
that only 9 or so of the kids that turned out
suited for the video. So they had to actually
pay for proffessional actors to play the crowd
in front of which the band is performing.

First
Date ...
|
|
Synopsis:
The video is set in the '70's. Mark, Tom and Travis,
alias "Spaulding", "Boomer"
and..."Travis" are having fun around
"El Segundo", small town of California.
This video was in fact recoreded in Canada. It
is funny, original and with a soft touch of sarcasm
which is actually blink-182.
Did you know? The band was looking for
someone to tell them how to take those water_tubes
at high speed so they were introduced to this
guy rumored to be the best around. This guy ended
up as the lifeguard at the top of those water_tubes
in the video.

Stay
Together For The Kids ...
|
|
Synopsis:
This video is the second from the "take off
your pants and jacket" album. It sounds and
looks like adam's song, but it ain't. It takes
place in an old, abandoned, big house. Mark and
Tom are singing together in this video. It's a
sad song, it's a sad video...
Did you know? There
was a first version of the video shot a few days
before september 11th. The video took place in
an old house that was being demolished by a big
crane. The band thought the images looked too
similar to 9/11 so they re-shot the video. The
original video can be seen in the Urethra Chronicles
2 Dvd.

The
Rock Show ...
|
|
Synopsis:
Blink-182 don't like doing things like everyone.
Having that in mind, what do you think they did
with the half million dollar budget allowed for
this video? Quoting Mark: "Instead of buying
expensive cameras and all, we decided to have
some fun with the money given for this clip".
Destroying brand-new tv-sets, releasing dozens
of birds or just throwing money out of their van's
window is fun for them. The cherry at the top
of the cake is destroying a shiny sports car with
a crane. You might find this stupid, don't worry,
the band member's won't dissagree.
Did you know? The
band had a hard time trying to give away their
money because people aren't used in such treatment
and they told them to f*ck off as they did not
beleive it was actual real money they were giving
away.

Man
Overboard ...
|
|
Synopsis:
Man
Overboard, only single from "The Mark Tom
and Travis show", is an autoparody of their
four previous videos. Whilst sleeping in their
tour van, they, all three band members, are having
nightmares. In it, the banana-man and the little
girl with the magnifying lens of the "what's
my age again" video are replaced by Mark,
Tom is someone in the "adam's song"
video and Travis, is getting hooked up with some
grannies on the beach of the "all the small
things" video. Note that during all the nightmares,
the band members are dwarfs!
Did you know? They
had to go to the exact same locations where they
shot their previous videos in order to make this
one. Tom is watching a porno mag whilst on the
phone. The dwarfs had Tom's and Travis's tatoos
drawn on their bodies with a marker.

Adam's
Song ...
|
|
Synopsis:
Originally,
this song was written by Tom and Mark after receiving
a mail from a boy that comitted suicide. The video
was intended to be sad as much as the song was
meant to be too. The talented blink is put up
front, the scatological jokes are putt aside for
this video.
Did you know? The
wall behind which Travis is playing is covered
by actual pictures of the band. There are hundreds
of them. In this same scene the band is playing
in front of an empty crowd, just like the teens
in the video left alone.

All
The Small Things ...
|
|
Synopsis:
This video is a parody of all the music videos
that were out at that time. Backstreet Boys, NSync,
Britney Spears Christina aguilera and much more
are all targeted. They even parodise themselves
(when running naked on the beach). The joke factor
is at its maximum in this video.
Did you know? There's
Mark's wife, Skye, at the other side of the window
in the scene in which he gets his torso poured
with orange liquid. There's 182 degrees tatooed
on Mark's arm. Tom
is really eating that flower.

What's
My Age Again?
...
|
|
Synopsis:
The first music video from the "enema of
the state" album can be summed up by this
word: naked. From start to end the band is running
everywhere they can, totally naked.
Did you know? The
band was actually naked 40% of the clip. The other
60%, they had skin-colored underwears. The band
guest-stared the porn-star Janine which is featured
in the front of their album, in their clip. When
recalling this video, Tom said "Thank god
I didn't get a boner".
The banana man which would later re-apear in the
"all the small things" and "man
overboard" video just happened to be there
at the time they were shooting the video.

Dammit
...
|
|
Synopsis:
The large majority of blink's songs talk about
love, or should we say "missed" love.
This song is one of this large majority. In this
one, Mark will find his ex-girlfriend with somone
else at the movies. Trying to talk to her, he
will have to deal with his actual boyfriend for
the whole clip.
Did you know? The
movie the band is to see is entitled "Sneak
Preview", just like in the song. Mark chases
the boyfriend once. The original concept of the
video according to Mark was to "Clone dinosaurs
off DNA found in a tiny mosquito emprisoned in
fossilized stone". After some research, it
seemed like this concept was already taken by
someone called Spielberg...

M+M's
...
|
|
Synopsis:
The
release of Cheshire cat on their new label "Cargo
Records" boosted Blink's popularity to the
top. The release of this album has been as such
followed by the release of this video. This video,
with the time drowback, looks immature. Mark,
Tom and Scott are talented punk rock stars but
have no clue as to what "fidelity" means.
Their girlfriends in this clip will teach them...
Did
you know? The band actually enjoyed shooting
their first video. They actually had a real budget,
though the girlfriend scenes were shot in their
respetive rooms, at their own houses.
