By webmaster
Location: Paris (France), Date: February 18, 2004.

"We're back, as we said we'd be back"

Blink-182's 2004 European tour started on february 12th at London's Wembley arena and finished yesterday at Paris's Zenith. The band was 12 days on tour, 10 nights of which they were on-stage. Paris was therefore synonym with delivrance and they gave their best on that last show. Read on...

February 18th at 19h30, time at which the concert was meant to start, I was still outside the building, with my mate, waiting to get inside. That's just how much people were out there for the show.
They were body-searching everyone and there was no way they would let my digital camera get in. My (girl) mate was a bit retiscent to this but I finally managed to convince her putting the camera between her breasts in order for it to get past the security. And indeed, they did not search her (unlike me, whom they searched more than normal) and here's how I bring you these fine pictures of the show.

Picture 12
At first I sat (for the first part of the concert) to the left hand-side of the stage. That's why you won't see any good pictures of motion city soundtrack or of the first part of the blink concert. But when blink got on stage, I jumped down and managed to make my way up front. That's where most of the picture were taken from. Some might be blurry but everybody was crazy and pushing down there (my back still hurts, ouch), and that's the best I could get.

As for the music. It's blink182 alright. I did not write down the tracklisting of the show but it was all-so very basic. They did start with "Shit, piss, fuck...", then "What's my age again", at some point there were "Reckless Abandon" and "Down" as well as "Action", woops sorry, I meant "Feeling This". The most interesting part of the concert was certainly the prelude to, followed by the song, "Stocholm Syndrome". The band did finish with "Dammit" as they usually do but, despites the crowd's demand, they did not play carousel (as with all european shows).

As for the first part of the concert. There were two bands "Motion city soundtrack" which played hard and fast. The other opening band I donnot recall the name of, was not really apreciated by the crowd. I might say they were looking gay in their white costumes but... oh well. That's all I can remember of the gig. It was cool.
